Meet the Speakers

Dr. Funke Afolabi-Brown

Triple board-certified sleep physician, founder of Restful Sleep MD, and best-selling author of Beyond Tired.

 

Her work helps individuals and organizations understand the connection between healthy sleep and mental, physical, and emotional well-being.

Heather Asher

Licensed Master of Social Work who has served in the mental health field since 2008.

 

Her experience in clinical and church settings has included supporting people through grief, transition, and uncertainty.

 

Her work is rooted in compassionate listening, dignity, and care for the whole person.

Dr. Sosunmolu Shoyinka

Nationally recognized psychiatrist, author, and public mental health leader.

 

He serves as Chief Psychiatrist for Philadelphia’s first behavioral health urgent care and is the author of Understanding Mental Health: A Guide for Faith Communities.

 

His experience includes crisis response, community psychiatry, public policy, and expanding access to mental health care.

Kayla Minor

Certified Health Education Specialist and School Prevention Specialist with Lincoln Behavioral Services.

 

Her work focuses on bullying prevention, absenteeism, suicide prevention, substance use prevention, and building healthier communities.
